Invasion of the Granparents III: Return of the Grandpa

Grandpa Art has been with us for over a week. Here he is, clearly enjoying the benefits of being human furniture for Mack.

It's fun for the whole family

It appears both Mackenzie and Jaime are having fun with developmental toys. Where was my super toy play yard as a baby? And for that matter, where is my jet-pack and flying car?

Bring me your finest meats and cheeses

Cats make terrible house servants.

Pay attention to me, Mom

How can you resist this face? Seriously.

UPDATE: Evidently our child is part elf. The ears are always a give away. Or perhaps she's just a huge Tolkien fan.

I'll admit it

She does look like a little angel.

Your technique is fine. Carry on.

No worries. Our parenting is being carefully monitored by U.N.-mandated cat observers.

"Welcome to my underground lair"

What might this gesture portend?

Welcome back from Charlottesville Daddy!

Mackenzie, it's really hard to leave.

I am not a leprechaun

...So get that thought right out of your head. I don't have a pot of gold either, but I might have something here in this diaper.

Charm Offensive

Mackenzie is on her best behavior when she meets Grandpa Dave. He has been spared the Mack Attack.... for now.

Meet the Grandparents II: Los Angeles Edition

Yesterday, Grandma Lois and Grandpa Dave arrived from California. I think it took Grandma Lois about 10 minutes to recover from Mackenzie's cuteness attack.

Tired of playing the game

Mackenzie has a fun habit of working herself up at night. This tends to be counterproductive for sleep. For her - and us. She is typically pretty tired the next day from doing this. During more lengthy spells of crying, the cats like to join in. I guess it tires them out too.
